The Knicks Are In The ECF For The First Time In 25 Years
Knicks beat the Celticsđ Yankees win Subway Seriesđ NYC is gonna explodeđ„

The rivalry continues. New York basketball fans are in for a classic: the New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers will battle for a spot in the NBA Finals, reigniting a playoff rivalry that dominated headlines throughout the 1990s and 2000s. This marks the ninth playoff meeting between the two franchises, with Indiana holding a slight edge historically, winning five of the previous eight playoff matchups. After the rivalry was reignited last year with the Knicks second round loss to the Pacers in 7 games, this time the Knicks are fully healthy and coming off their best playoff series in 25 years.
The battle between Knicks captain, clutch player of the year Jalen Brunson and Pacers floor general Tyrese Haliburton will be at the center of this series. Both have shown off their playoff heroics this postseason and will meet again with both on the best runs of their careers. Miles Turner vs. KAT and Mitchell Robinson under the basket will also be a key matchup. Karl-Anthony Towns will need to continue his bully ball success from Game 6 for the Knicks to take this series. Both players can stretch the floor, but Turnerâs shot-blocking ability could contain Towns and swing the series if he wins the matchup. Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby will likely take on Haliburton or Buddy Hield. Their ability to disrupt perimeter scoring will be crucial in slowing down Indianaâs offense.
Game 1 is tonight at 8 pm on TNT. The Knicks have never won a series after losing Game 1 at home, so a strong start by the Knicks would be incredibly beneficial for their chances to move on to the NBA Finals.
