THE KNICKS ARE IN THE FINALS!!!

Knicks vs. Spurs starts tonight 🏆 OBJ is back on the Gmen 🥹 Yanks make history vs. A's

After 27 long years, the Knicks have finally made it back to the NBA Finals. Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns, and the entire Knicks squad are 4 wins away from ending an astonishing 53 year title drought. Knicks fans, the most dedicated sports fans in the world, have been ravenous for the Larry O’Brien trophy for way too long and it seems that our time could very well have come.

But the job’s not finished. Coming out of the West is an incredibly athletic, young San Antonio Spurs squad led by a rapidly rising star in Victor Wembanyama. The future face of this league, supported by young guards Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle, have completely turned around the Spurs in record time. After missing the playoffs in 2025, the Spurs find themselves in the Finals only a year later. Wembanyama has been dominant throughout the postseason, averaging over 23 points per game while leading all playoff players in rebounds and blocks. Castle has emerged as one of the league’s brightest young guards while Harper has provided a steady scoring punch and veteran poise despite being a rookie. The Spurs entered the playoffs as one of the youngest teams in basketball, yet they knocked off the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder and won the Western Conference behind a fearless style of play that has made them one of the toughest teams in the league.

Many are comparing this Finals matchup to the 1999 NBA Finals which also featured the Knicks vs. the Spurs. In that series, the Spurs had a rising superstar in Tim Duncan in his second season leading them to an NBA Finals, much like how Wembanyama has this season. The Spurs ended up defeating the Knicks 4-1. However, this Knicks team is different. That Knicks team was a scrappy 8-seed that was without their star Patrick Ewing after he went down with an achilles injury in the series prior.

This Knicks team is built to win a championship. Brunson has been spectacular throughout the postseason, averaging over 27 points and 6 assists per game while continuing to cement himself as one of the biggest playoff performers in basketball. Towns has given the Knicks a dominant interior presence while OG Anunoby has elevated his game to another level on both ends of the floor. The Knicks have outscored opponents by more than 270 points during this playoff run and currently own the best defensive rating in the postseason. Every player has embraced their role and the chemistry throughout the roster has been evident every time they step on the floor.

This is potentially the most dominant Knicks playoff team in the past 50 years. They are currently on an 11 game winning streak, sweeping their past 2 opponents and playing nearly perfect basketball. Madison Square Garden has never been louder. New York City has never been more energized. For a generation of Knicks fans, this is the moment they have waited their entire lives to see. Four wins stand between the Knicks and basketball immortality. The drought is closer than ever to ending. The opportunity is right in front of them. Now they just have to finish the job.

1. Can OG Anunoby be the Wemby Stopper?

The Knicks highest priority for the upcoming series is to stop the freak that is Victor Wembanyama. The answer might lie in OG Anunoby. The 2nd team All-Defense Forward has been one of the best in the league when it comes to guarding Wemby. Of all players to be the primary defender on Wemby for at least 100 possessions the last 3 years, OG Anunoby allowed the least points per 75 possessions at only 15 on 44% true shooting.

2. Odell Beckham Jr. Signs with the Giants

Could make a grown man cry :)

The reunion the Big Blue faithful have been hoping for all offseason has actually happened: OBJ is back. The veteran 33 year-old wide receiver is reuniting with his former coach John Harbaugh who he played one season under in Baltimore. Beckham had 35 catches for 565 yards and three touchdowns that season. It is truly a full-circle moment for OBJ and giants fans alike, returning to the place where he won ROTY, named to multiple Pro Bowls, and spent the best years of his career. Now, he will help bolster a dilapidated Giants WR room and mentor young receiver Malik Nabers.

3. Yankees Score a Whopping 13 Runs in ONE Inning

Bronx Bombing.

The Yankees went absolutely nuclear last Sunday in Sacramento against the A’s. Despite going scoreless in every other inning, the Yankees won the game 13-8 by scoring 13 RUNS in the 3rd. The Yankees are the first team to score 10 or more runs in an inning before making an out since the Red Sox on May 7th, 2009, sending 18 men on base and bringing home 13.
