Brunson and KAT Both Named All-Star Starters

Jets New Regime✈️ Knicks Rising☝️ Rangers Are Back!?️

The Knicks have their best starting lineup since the 90’s and the NBA has taken notice. Both Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns were not only selected for the All-Star game, but are both getting the starting nod. This marks the first time that New York has had two players start in the star-studded matchup since franchise legends Walt Frazier and Earl Monroe did so in 1975.

After being named the Knicks captain this past year, Jalen Brunson has been the leader of the Knicks team. He continues to be on the top of his game night-in, night-out. With the addition of Mikal Bridges and KAT, the Villanova product has upped his distribution while remaining a potent volume scorer. He’s been averaging 26 PPG on 48.8% shooting while dishing out a career-high 7.3 APG. While he has taken a slight backseat on the overall scoring, when it comes to late game scenarios, he is still the guy. His clutch gene and winning nature is what ultimately earned him the starting All-Star nod over other guards with better statistics on the season.

Is it safe to say that the Knicks won the trade yet? Karl-Anthony towns has been a standout for the Knicks since the minute he stepped into the Garden. After getting a fresh start out of his old squad in Minnesota, Towns has had a career year. He currently ranks 4th on the NBA’s MVP ladder, an award a Knick hasn’t won since Willis Reed in 1970. Towns averages an amazing 25.1 points, 13.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game. As the self described “best shooting big man of all time”, he has been backing it up shooting an unprecedented 43.3 percent shooting from three-point range.

Towns and Brunson have shone above the rest of the league and the fans, and the rest of the league, have certainly been watching. The Knicks are currently 3rd in the east and only a game behind the Celtics for second place. They are on a 4- game winning streak, clobbering the Western Conference contenders Memphis Grizzlies last night 143-106. With tough games against the Nuggets, Rockets and Celtics coming up, the new look New York Knicks have the chance to truly cement their place as a championship contender.

1. Aaron Glenn Hired as New Jets Head Coach

Return to the Big Apple

Former New York Jet cornerback, Aaron Glenn, has arrived at his old home as the new head coach. Glenn was the defensive coordinator of the Lions last season Coach Glenn has a lot of work to do, keeping these Jets players in check and will need to rejuvenate the energy in a sorrow organization. He will hopefully bring back the stout Jets defense that was top-10 under Salah. The question marks will fall on what the quarterback situation will look like next season, with the decision on Aaron Rodgers still up in the air as Glenn reportedly hasn’t decided on whether to have him return or not. If Rodgers retires, the Jets will again have to find a competent quarterback to fill in the gap.

2. Jets Hire Darren Mougey as General Manager

The Jets also hired Darren Mougey to serve as their general manager after the firing of Joe Douglas. The controversial decision leaves large shoes to fill with Douglas assembling a pretty talented roster during his tenure but was ultimately fired over his Aaron Rodgers decision. Mougey previously worked in the personnel department of the Denver Broncos since 2012, helping build a super bowl winning team during that time. He and Glenn have been in “lockstep” since being hired, according to owner Woody Johnson, a good sign as lack of coordination has historically been an issue for the Jets.

3. Rangers Are On The Rise 📈📈

IGOR CAN SCRAP TOO

After an abysmal December, the Rangers have clawed their way back into playoff contention. They currently sit at 5th in the metro and are 6-1-3 in their last ten games. Igor has continued to be the top goalie talent in the league aided by new defenseman Will Borgen, who just signed a 5-year extension, and the return of K’Andre Miller. Despite continued struggles by Mika Zibanejad, the offense has returned to form scoring 4+ goals in 5 of their last 7. If the Rangers can keep this up, playoffs seem like a real likelihood for the Blueshirts.

4. Malik Nabers Makes The Pro Bowl

Get this man a quarterback.

Malik Nabers after his first NFL Season has been called up to be a Pro bowler. Nabers had a spectacular season with the New York Giants, even with abysmal Quarterback play, Malik Nabers still finds ways to put-up ELITE Wide Receiver numbers. Nabers had 109 receptions (5th) along with 1,204 yards (7th) and 7 touchdowns. With the Giants organization desperate for a quarterback next season, expect a way better stat line in 2025-26.

5. Empire State Building Lit Green For Eagles Win

Embarrassing…

Someone really needs to do something about this. I don’t care that the building is a private company and gets paid an absurd amount of money to shine their lights a certain color, this should be ILLEGAL! Would the people of Philadelphia ever allow the Giants red and blue to be illuminated on Independence Hall. Not a chance. Our most hated rival gets to display their dominance over us on our most iconic landmark and we just let it happen time and time again. Pathetic.

NEW YORK JOCK EXCHANGE 📈📉

RISERS: Karl-Anthony Towns and Jalen Brunson have both been named to the All-Star game as All-Star starters. Malik Nabers has made the Pro Bowl in his first season after Amon-Ra St. Brown dropped out due to injury. Vincent Trocheck has been a great leader for this team in January and has helped spearhead this revitalized Rangers offense. Igor is Igor.

LOSERS: John Mara and Joe Schoen had to watch their offseason mistakes play in the NFC Championship with Jayden Daniels and Saquon Barkley showing out. I’m sure John Mara did not get much sleep on Sunday night. Mika Zibanejad has continued to not hit his usual standard production and the Rangers may look to the trade market to find a replacement centre. Noah Clowney went down with injury in the second quarter of the Nets loss last night. Ben Simmons has been out for a few games now and continues to be Ben Simmons.
