The Aaron Rodgers Experience is OVER
Pete Alonso Re-Signs🐻❄️ Ben Simmons Bought Out💰 Eli Gets HOF Snub😡

The Rodgers era for the New York Jets is officially over. Aaron Rodgers was informed last week that the new Aaron Glenn and Darren Mougey regime will not be welcoming him back next season.
Supposedly, the Jets were open to having Rodgers back if he could agree to two things: Stop his weekly appearances on the Pat Mcafee Show and agree to show up to all practices. Judging by the outcome, this was too much for him.
After tearing his Achilles on the fourth play of the Jets season opener in fall of 2023, the Jets savior that Rodgers was hoped to be ended up tearing down the house. With his weekly interviews on the Pat Mcafee Show where he would publicly complain about the Jets private business and his missing of mini-camp for his trip to Egypt, Rodgers created a culture of drama and distrust. This year after a 2-3 start, former head coach Robert Saleh got fired with GM Joe Douglas getting canned soon after. Rodgers consistently put himself over the team and the Jets have finally had enough.
— Top 5 stories this week —
1. Pete Alonso is BACK on the Mets
After months of negotiations and holdouts, Pete Alonso is officially back on the New York Mets. The heavy hitting first baseman will be back in Queens on a two-year, $54 million contract that contains an opt-out after 2025. To be honest, if you asked us or any reporter a couple weeks ago if Pete would be back, the answer would be probably not. While some argue this would be considered an overpay, it is refreshing to see the Mets really prioritize retaining core players, players that have spent their whole career with the Mets. Pete is a Met through and through and he’s back where he belongs. |
2. Ben Simmons gets Bought Out by Nets
A failed experiment for a New York sports franchise plagued with injuries and drama. No, we are not talking about Aaron Rodgers, this one is somehow worse. As you can see by the graphic, Simmons didn’t really even play that much for Brooklyn. The once promising young star never could get back to All-Star form on the Nets. He is now on his way to the Clippers to backup the guy the Nets traded for him in James Harden. While the memes were fun, its about time the Nets moved on. |
3. Old Giants Reunion at Super Bowl 😢
Look away Giants fans, this one is a tearjerker. The old mid-2010s crew got back together to watch Saquon win Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. It’s a reminder of the Giants consistent front office mishaps over the past decade that came to a head this season and resulted in debatably worst season in Big Blue history. Sigh… |
4. Eli Does Not Make The Hall Of Fame
One of the most prevalent and heated bar arguments lives on. In his first year of eligibility, Eli Manning was not selected into the 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. While people will go on about how Eli has record-high career interceptions and is 117-117 (.500) on his career, you cannot tell the story of football without Eli Manning. His two legendary Super Bowl Runs, where in one he set the all-time postseason passing record, paired with his longevity should alone be enough for him to get in. He will be back. |
5. St. Johns Has Been Going OFF 🚀
College Basketball is officially back in NYC. In only his second season, Rick Pitino has got the Johnnies at the top of the Big East and top 10 in the AP National Rankings. After major wins over Marquette and Uconn, barring a disaster, the Red Storm will finish at the top of their conference. They have lost only 3 games on the season by a combined 5 points. Their signature tough defense, one of the most effective in the country, will be a force to be reckoned with in March. As long as they can keep up their shooting, look out for the Storm making a deep tournament run this year. |
NEW YORK JOCK EXCHANGE 📈📉
![]() RISERS: Pete Alonso is officially back on the Mets on a 2-year deal. Josh Hart has been playing out of his mind and is garnering national attention for his talents. Nic Claxton has reached double figures in five of his past six games and the Nets are 5-1 over that same span. JT Miller was traded back to the Rangers and has had an instant impact. Mitchell Robinson has been cleared for contact in practice and will be back soon after all star break. | ![]() LOSERS: Aaron Rodgers has been informed that he will not be returning to the New York Jets. Ben Simmons was bought out by the Nets and is now signing with the Clippers. OG Anunoby continues to miss time with a foot injury. With Rodgers gone, Devonte Adams will likely meet the same fate. Jericho Sims was also traded away for a bag of chips. |
